Mission statement
Naked Bits was founded in May 2009 as a joint initiative by Dirk Groten and ULURU 100% Brand B.V. Our mission is to help companies understand what can be done with technology, be it web or mobile. We inspire companies by offering a creative environment where new concepts, business models and opportunities can be explored, bit by bit. We strip technology from its complexity so it becomes transparent and easy to grasp. We do this by letting companies play with these concepts by building demonstrators or prototypes.
Vision
An incredible amount of innovation is taking place outside of the traditional Fortune-500 companies. Startups with fantastic ideas are shooting up every day. The consumer’s behaviour is changing rapidly as he is less and less inclined to rely only on long-established brands. These large companies have to react in order to remain attractive to consumers.
But how? It’s impossible to follow the pace of the startups, which don’t have the large IT legacy most traditional companies have. Making a choice which technology to implement is a high risk operation, based only on paper reports and assumptions. It often results in high cost IT projects with no garantee of success.
What is asked for is a playground to experiment with new ideas. Innovation cannot be done on paper. You need to see it, try it and touch it to be able to assess the value for your own company. You need to build knowledge about it inside your own company. In the future, the successful company will be the one that dares to try out new ideas at a fast pace, failing in 80% of the cases, but building little gems in 20% of the cases.
Naked Bits’ vision is to become that playground where new ideas can be tried out, evaluated and discarded or accepted in a few weeks.
